TY Drama

Our TY drama group were delighted to hear that their rendition of the play “Little Red Riding Hood” qualified for The All Ireland Transition Year Drama Festival Final! The final takes place in The Mullingar Arts Centre in early March. They will compete against schools from all over the country so we wish the drama group and their teacher Ms O’Brien the very best of luck!

Foróige Leadership Programme

This week TY2 completed their three day leadership programme with Jim Maher from The Attic House, Longford. They thoroughly enjoyed the course and TY1 are very eager to begin the programme after midterm.

Garda Work Experience

Six lucky TY students were selected to attend a week long course with the Gardaí. Some of the activities they have done include a trip to The Special Criminal Court in Dublin to observe the trial of Patrick Hutch.

Visit to the Megabowl

TY 1 enjoyed a visit to Longford Megabowl during their PE class recently. The girls showed off their considerable skill and had some fun along the way.

Junk Kouture

At the time of going to print, our Junk Kouture students were nervously and excitedly awaiting news as to whether they have qualified for the Regional Final. We wish all four groups the very best of luck.
