Easter General Knowledge Quiz
Congratulations and well done to our TY team of; Lily, Elisha, Arfa, Sophie & Nita who won the Easter general knowledge quiz. They scored very highly in the literature round, which deemed them to be the overall winners.
Mindfulness Monday
Our Sixth Year students were delighted to start their week last week with a mindfulness session which incorporated both seated mindfulness and mindful body scan exercises! The practice of mindfulness can alleviate stress and pressure and empower students to calm their own mind. We hope that students will be able to apply the practice in the coming weeks as they commence their Leaving Certificate oral examinations. We would like to sincerely thank Pauline, Mindfulness teacher and Holistic therapist for facilitating the sessions!
Basket-weaving Workshop
Our transition year students thoroughly enjoyed a basket weaving workshop with Willow Lady, Helena Golden last week. Helena is an experienced artisan with a deep rooted passion for basketry, nature, foraging and weaving. Helena spoke to the students about the craft and then guided and assisted them as they wove their own baskets. The students were immensely proud of their completed baskets and they were delighted to return home with their own hand-produced Easter basked to display all their chocolate Easter eggs. We would like to thank Ms Cunningham for organising the workshop.
Fifth Year Retreat
Our Fifth Year students were delighted with the opportunity to engage in a high octane and energetic retreat day on Tuesday, April 1st last. The students engaged in activities from dance to reflection and the day offered a welcome reprieve from the burden of study!
