Fifth Year History Trip

Students from our Fifth Year History class were thrilled to have the opportunity to attend a history excursion to Dublin on Thursday May 8th. This beneficial and educational trip consisted of a tour of Glasnevin Cemetery and a visit to the National Botanic Gardens. The girls visited the graves of famous figures from Irish History such as Charles Stewart Parnell, Daniel O’Connell, Eamon de Valera and Michael Collins to name a few. The trip culminated in a visit to historical landmarks in the city centre and some retail therapy.

Extended Project Showcase!

Last week, students at Meánscoil Mhuire impressed parents, teachers, and guests at our Extended Project Showcase — an evening celebrating independent, student-led learning. There were sixteen projects in total, with representatives from each year-group. The projects ranged from robotics demos and psychological research to subject specific investigations and coding projects. Our students took ownership of their learning and shared it with confidence and creativity. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who supported the students, who attended the showcase, and thank the the teachers who mentored the students. Congratulations to each and every student involved. Thank you also to Ms Clancy and Ms McEnroe for organising and coordinating the event. The future is very bright!
